Red Forest
Related to the incremental game, "Red Forest".
- The 100th object resource registered within Red Forest is the Ball Mower Lite.
- In the Red Forest Version 0.4.0 trailer, the Ball Bomb is the only inventory item showcased without its actual sprite.
- Before Gartnere and Negotiator was even added into Red Forest, their sprites were already in Version 0.4.0.
- All options menus in Red Forest 0.5.x use the same exact object ID, with the exception of the Shop Menu, which has its own object ID. This is because the basis for all options menus' codes were duplicates of the Shop Menu.
- In Red Forest lore, the abbreviation "S.M.I.L.E." stands for "So Many Into Losing Everything"
- In Red Forest lore, anything a Combo Ball black hole can swallow is a Red Ball.
- Originally, Red Forest is supposed to contain two more Easter eggs, which are: "POMNI", and "PETSCOP". Unfortunately, due to the extent of copyright laws, this idea was scrapped.
- In Red Forest, the Combo Black Hole swallow sound effect is the Ball Mower sound effect with a low-pass filter applied to it.
- In Red Forest, the blip sound effects are a C major broken chord played on a MIDI marimba.
- The track made for Red Forest, "Somewhat of a thought process", uses a free-to-use soundfont called a C-Piano, created by CUCKOO, and is Alexander's first use of it in musical works.
Alexander James
Related to Alexander James himself.
- Alexander's username "AJtheprogrammer" does not indicate that he is indeed a programmer. It is just something his 11-year-old self chose because he thought making games with Game Maker qualify as programming.
- The very first game Alexander had created was a simple game called "TATA". Unfortunately, a copy of this game does not exist, as it was never released online.
- Alexander's favorite drink is milk.
- Alexander started his journey of making music in 2014, and since then, never ever stopped.
- Alexander's current drawing artstyle is based off of Sailor Moon and Azumanga Daioh. His way of coloring and rendering is based on how children books and drawings by children look like. The reason for this choice of artstyle is convenience and a simpler faster drawing process.
- Alexander is very open about his dislike towards slow-paced reggae music. According to him, his reason for such opinion is that, to him, its overall sound gives off a very specific feeling of getting high on a certain substance, which he is verily against. Despite this, he respects anyone who enjoys such music genre, as he knows not all genres are for all.
- Alexander can play a physical piano keyboard on a very basic elementary level, but due to lack of practice and the absence of any chance to practice playing piano, he can no longer do so.
- Alexander believes in many (although not all) of the concepts within liberalism, although he prefers not to identify as a liberal since such term today is commonly used in most places to refer to individuals that believe in all or most values and concepts of only progressive liberalism.
- Alexander's favorite Japanese anime is Wedding Peach.
- Alexander once attempted to created an Ace Attorney fangame, which is what led to him studying how to make music, and sparked the birth of a new hobby and skill for him.
- The very first "Original Character" Alexander had ever designed since shortly after his birth was Robo-Flick.
- Alexander always avoids playing FPS games above all else due to his innate issue with reflexes, hand-eye coordination, response time, and fight-or-flight response.
- Alexander owns a Pomni plush, which he uses in many of his works as a joke or hidden detail only for himself.
Music
Related to music works.
- The first groovefair song released with a song title using uppercase letters is "noisedriver1". It is also simultaneously the first groovefair song to include symbols in its song title.
- The music video for MASTEMA is the first ever music video by Alexander to contain 3D animation clips, and is simultaneously his very first animated music video made with Blender.
- Contrary to popular belief, the word "Creamo" in OmniCreamo is an altered version of "kreemo", which is an Esperanto word for "creation".
- According to Alexander's Bluesky post, the character from the Island music video is named "Jaime G-4".
- The mascot portrayed in the groovefair symbol is named Notta.
- The cover art for the unreleased song puffyfluff was originally supposed to feature a picture of a BlÄhaj.
- The song A Letter To My Family has the exact same chord progression for its chorus section as Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.
- The artwork for the groovefair song walkietalkiewalkies contains a small reference to Cicada 3301.
- The track made Red Forest, "Somewhat of a thought process", uses a free-to-use soundfont called a C-Piano, created by CUCKOO, and is Alexander's first use of it in musical works.
RameNitro
Related to RameNitro
- RameNitro started as a blog site hosted on Blogger.
- The letters at the end of the Version Code -- used in all websites by Alexander James -- is an alternative form of a minor release number. This base-26 counting system paired with a date is implemented to make sure our version codes stay compact even in high numbers.
- One of the sound effects for RameNitro TRIVIA originated from NEMOROID; one of Alexander's cancelled projects.
- The sound reload dialog in RameNitro TRIVIA uses an extremely long duration, which is a number defined as the cubed decimal checksum from a hexadecimal text copy of AM's speech from "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream."
- Whilst only 3 variations of the Sound Toggle button are available to find naturally in the webpage, there are actually 4 more extra variants added in as a joke. These were: "SFX stole my bike", "SFX too drip to even load", "SFX got abstracted", and "SFX met Hoo".
Other Projects
Does not yet fit in with any existing categories.
- Magical Cat Piper was originally a part of a cancelled Alternate Reality Game project by Alexander. It was intended to be a seemingly cutesy rhythm game that contains hidden clues and secrets within itself.
- The source set of meshes for Commander Foxtrot used the number 67 for an animation on his Master Hat. Specifically, the Driver's expression reads:
sin(frame/6+7)/(pi*2)*0.4 -0.05
- The font used for the added text on the international logo for Super Special Maker Luna: BonkerMidnights, is Times New Roman with each letter transformed.
- The added text on the logo for Super Special Maker Luna: BonkerMidnights had 3 types of shapes as backdrops. Depending on the shape behind a letter, letters can be selected according to the shape to spell words that are either completely meaningless or merely jokes, enciphered by this system.
- Although the decision is still subject to change, Robo-Flick is intended to appear in one of Alexander's projects in the future, most likely in MIND#36: D-FORM.
- Although it was never announced publicly, Alexander's first biggest project "Rejected Domination" had already been cancelled a long time ago. Sorry! You will never hear the title of that project from us ever again.
- Within the development stage of Sling 2, Commander Foxtrot was initially meant to be a cat-based character. He was later changed into a fox-based character for a more interesting appearance and suggested little meanings behind his name and design.
TRIVIA Secret Joke Feature
Tidbits about the amazingly stupid eggs more insulting to Easter than the eggs named after it.
- The "sleeping dictator" joke feature was the first ever TASJF joke feature added into RameNitro TRIVIA. It was to commemorate the beginning of Alexander's new variation of his game development journey.
- The joke feature almost always references lore or details from projects currently being worked on. So if you want to, you can treat it like a nerd's free access to exclusive rumours.
